Screen and Media Animation

This course will equip you the knowledge and skills to work as an Animator or Visual effects specialist in this evolving industry.
The Diploma of Screen and Media Animation provides students with the qualifications, theoretical skills and practical knowledge and experience to work as an Animator or Visual effects specialist.
During this course you will gain an understanding of screen and television production and learn a variety of animation techniques including 2D illustration and computer animation, stop motion and claymation, and 3D animation. You will also be trained in animation software, lighting, camera and scanning equipment, to introduce you to industry level animation technologies and techniques.
Upon graduation you will have gained the knowledge and extensive skills to work as a Screen Producer or Interactive Media Designer. This course also provides entry to the second year of Film and Television programs at University
- Academic Requirements: Completion of Year 12 (or equivalent). Non school-leavers must have relevant work experience or qualification that indicates likely success of course completion.
- Present English language evidence

- IELTS, PTE, etc. (IELTS: 6.0 overall – no band less than 5.5; OR equivalent). The test result must be valid within 2 years at the time of the visa application.
- Some Education Institutions offer an in-house English Placement Test that you can take to meet the English entry requirements.
- Exemptions apply if:
– you are a citizen and hold a passport from UK, USA, Canada, NZ or Republic of Ireland
– you are enrolled in a principal course of study that is a registered school course, a standalone English Language Intensive Course for Overseas Students (ELICOS), a course registered to be delivered in a language other than English, or a registered post-graduate research course
– you have completed at least 5 years of study in English in one or more of the following countries: Australia, UK, USA, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, or the Republic of Ireland.
