A qualification in the Hospitality Management field, prepares students for operational aspects of the business and provides knowledge in its fundamentals. The following programmes aims to train and prepare students with a blend of educational knowledge and practical experience relating to hospitality and tourism functions. A qualification in hospitality management gives an in depth understanding of the structure and operation of the industry and its related sectors.
Certificate III in Hospitality (Duration 6 months – 1 year)
Hospitality courses cover a broad range of areas in the hospitality field and will provide students with a foundation in all aspects of the hospitality industry.
During this course students will be given both practical, hands-on and theoretical training that prepare them for a career in the hospitality industry. In particular, The Diploma of Hospitality Management will prepare students for supervisory roles.
Diploma of Hospitality Management (Duration 1 – 1.5 years)
The Diploma provides you with the managerial skills you need to work effectively in a high level position with in this sector. Often students will be placed in work internships in real businesses to get a feel for the industry. The skills that they learn throughout their class will benefit them greatly in the real workforce.
Quite often students who are studying hospitality find it easy to secure paid employment in local hotels, restaurant and bars, as the employer knows that the experience that they have learnt in the course will have real benefits in the work force.
English language proficiency equivalent to IELTS 5.5 (Academic) with no individual band score less than 5.0.

Temporary Graduate Visa
If undertaking study in Australia for a minimum of 2 years you may qualify for the Temporary Skilled Graduate Visa. This visa allows the holder 1.5 years of unlimited work rights in Australia. Many graduates use this time to build up experience in their field or find an employer that is willing to sponsor their visa.
If you have applied for the Temporary Graduate Visa you may also be eligible to apply for the Job Ready Program. The Job Ready Program is run through TRA and allows graduates in certain disciplines to have their skills assessed for skilled migration purposes. It is a way for people with no experience to have their skills assessed. Once the student receives a positive skills assessment they may be eligible to apply for permanent work visas such as State Sponsored and General Skilled Migration Visas.
