Aircraft Maintenance Engineering

Aviation Australia currently holds an EASA part 147 approval allowing students to reduce the timeframe to apply for their licence from a minimum of 5 years to a minimum of 3.5 years.

The EASA Diploma of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (Mechanical) is a 90 weeks program which includes 1164 hours of practical maintenance training at Aviation Australia’s fully owned world class hangars. Students who successfully graduate will qualify for a Diploma of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (recognised Australia wide) and an EASA Certificate of Recognition (recognised world-wide for the purpose of the EASA Part-66 License application).

The practical maintenance training designed for this course will expose you to individual and team tasks in a live hangar where Aviation Australia’s Aircraft Maintenance Engineers will sign you off on your fully owned Journal of Experience.

General Entry Requirements:

  1. Educational Background:
    • Completion of secondary education (equivalent to Year 12 in Australia) is typically required.
