The Diploma of Project Management prepares students to manage projects in a variety of contexts, across a number of industry sectors. It develops the skills to initiate, plan, execute and evaluate their own work and/or the work of others.
Jobs in project management roles have risen strongly over the last five years, and opportunities are available in most regions of Australia. Growth in this sector is expected to increase by as much as 50,000 new positions over the next few years.
This course will give you the specialised knowledge and advanced skills to manage project scopes, project costs, risk and quality.
In this qualification you will hone your skills in:
- Time management across projects
- Ensuring high quality project delivery
- Managing costs of a project
- Recruiting, retaining and managing staff throughout projects
- Procurement of projects
- Maintaining stakeholder engagement
- Successful completion of Australian Year 11 or overseas equivalent at minimum, or Certificate III in a related field.
- Present English language evidence

- IELTS, PTE, etc. (IELTS: 6.0 overall – no band less than 5.5; OR equivalent). The test result must be valid within 2 years at the time of the visa application.
- Some Education Institutions offer an in-house English Placement Test that you can take to meet the English entry requirements.
- Exemptions apply if:
– you are a citizen and hold a passport from UK, USA, Canada, NZ or Republic of Ireland
– you are enrolled in a principal course of study that is a registered school course, a standalone English Language Intensive Course for Overseas Students (ELICOS), a course registered to be delivered in a language other than English, or a registered post-graduate research course
– you have completed at least 5 years of study in English in one or more of the following countries: Australia, UK, USA, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, or the Republic of Ireland.
