Counselling and Psychotherapy
Overview
The Master of Counselling and Psychotherapy is a highly regarded postgraduate qualification that equips graduates with the knowledge, clinical skills, and professional standing to work as registered counsellors and psychotherapists across a wide range of settings.
This comprehensive program goes beyond traditional counselling training by integrating cognitive science, neuroscience, and psychotherapy. Students develop a deep understanding of the human mind and therapeutic practice through a client-centred lens, exploring psychodynamic, humanistic, somatic, and trauma-informed approaches.
A key highlight of the program is the supervised clinical placement, where students manage their own client caseload under expert guidance, gaining real-world experience before they graduate. The course is accredited by the Australian Counselling Association (ACA), and graduates are eligible for Level 2 ACA membership upon completion.
Whether you are new to the counselling field or looking to formalise and elevate your existing practice, this degree offers a transformative academic and personal journey.
