What does a diesel motor mechanic’s day look like?

A diesel motor mechanic's daily work typically involves detecting and diagnosing faults in engines and components, dismantling assemblies such as transmissions and steering systems, and checking for wear or defects. They repair or replace faulty parts, reassemble mechanical systems using service manuals, and test the performance of repaired components, often with computer assistance. In some cases, they also inspect vehicles to issue roadworthiness certificates or recommend necessary repairs to meet roadworthiness standards.
