Mechanical engineers are responsible for the design, manufacture, and operational processes of anything that moves, from the tiniest, simplest micro-particles to the largest, most complex spacecraft and everything in between.
As a mechanical engineer, you have a skill set that is applicable to many industries in the world, including automotive, transport, manufacturing, power generation, medical, consumer goods, and more. This practical qualification will ensure you graduate job-ready as a mechanical engineering technologist. Upon completion of this program, you will gain skills and knowledge in the latest mechanical engineering technologies.
- IELTS overall score of at least 6.0 (with no individual band score less than 5.5)
- Completing of year 12 or equivalent
Electrical system planning, design and development, power supply, distribution and transmission, renewable energy, electrical instrumentation control, electronics research, design and testing, mining, radio and television broadcasting, space defence systems, advanced automation and robotic systems, space defence systems

Temporary Graduate Visa
If undertaking study in Australia for a minimum of 2 years you may qualify for the Temporary Skilled Graduate Visa. This visa allows the holder 1.5 years of unlimited work rights in Australia. Many graduates use this time to build up experience in their field or find an employer that is willing to sponsor their visa.
If you have applied for the Temporary Graduate Visa you may also be eligible to apply for the Job Ready Program. The Job Ready Program is run through TRA and allows graduates in certain disciplines to have their skills assessed for skilled migration purposes. It is a way for people with no experience to have their skills assessed. Once the student receives a positive skills assessment they may be eligible to apply for permanent work visas such as State Sponsored and General Skilled Migration Visas.
