Non-Trade Notes: Professional Courses that Open PR Pathways

Looking for a career-aligned study pathway that could lead to potential permanent residency? We’ve got you. If you’re interested in knowing which non-trade courses you can choose from, we’re breaking it down for you. So grab your pen and paper, and let’s start taking notes.

The Non-Trade Study Pathway

The non-trade courses give the student applicant the opportunity to study a vocational or academic program in Australia through a Student Visa (500).

After completing the study program successfully, the student can apply for the Temporary Graduate Visa (485) which allows them to stay and work in Australia for a certain period of time. Then, they’ll have to get a positive result in their skills assessment through the TRA (Trades Recognition Australia). From there, they can go through the process of getting a work visa which ultimately can open the possibility of permanent residency (PR).

Application ≠ Approval

This is a gentle reminder to note that a visa application doesn’t mean approval. If you follow the process and submit all the requirements, getting a visa grant is possible.
