Eligibility Requirements
To meet the requirements for this visa applicants must:
prove they are internationally recognised with evidence of outstanding achievements
still be prominent in their field of expertise
provide evidence that they would be an asset to Australia, in their area of expertise
have no difficulty obtaining employment in Australia or becoming established in their field
have a recognised organisation or individual in Australia endorse them as global talent, in the same field as the applicant
applicants who apply for this visa should have the ability to attract a salary at or above the high income threshold of AUD153,600.

Application Process
If you meet the requirements for this visa, you would submit an expression of interest to Immigration. Immigration will then contact you and invite you to lodge a distinguished talent visa.

You are required to obtain a student visa if you want to study in Australia for more than 3 months (or 4 months if you are on a working holiday visa) and your genuine reason for coming to Australia is to study.

Training Visa

Do I need to earn over $153,600 to be able to apply for this visa?
In order to apply for this visa you need to demonstrate that in Australia you can command a salary above $153,600 or be a highly graded recent PhD or Masters Graduates who is highly talent and recognised in their field for outstanding achievement.

The visa application charge for the Distinguished Talent visa is $4,110.
