How do I get started in Automotive Body Repair?

Published: Jul 28, 2020

To start in Automotive Body Repair, begin with a Certificate III in Automotive Body Repair, which covers welding, panel beating and vehicle component fabrication.

After graduating, most international students apply for the Temporary Graduate visa (subclass 485) under the Post-Vocational Education Work stream, formerly called the Graduate Work stream, which grants an 18-month stay for trade and diploma graduates whose qualification links to an occupation on the skilled occupation list.

Applicants must generally be under 35 and meet the current English language requirement. From there, graduates can build work experience to support a later skilled migration application, such as the Skills in Demand visa or general skilled migration. Find out more about it here.

Always ensure your studies align with your long-term career goals. When you feel ready to dive in, begin your enrolment process.
