The Temporary Work (Short Stay Specialist) visa (subclass 400) generally allows a stay of up to three months. A longer stay of up to six months may be considered in limited circumstances, but you’ll usually need to provide a strong business case if you’re requesting more than three months.
Your stay period starts on the day you first enter Australia, and you can’t be in Australia on a subclass 400 visa for more than six months within any 12-month period. Check current stay conditions on the Department of Home Affairs subclass 400 page.
