 Advance your career in ICT with this high-level qualification. This course will give you the skills you need to become an assistant software developer or systems administrator. There is an increasing demand for trained workers in the industry, with projected growth expected to rise in the next five years. 

You will become skilled in researching, planning, analysing and evaluating system program needs; writing and maintaining program code; debugging and monitoring applications; and creating cloud computing services.  

Students will draw on your knowledge and skills from the Certificate IV in Programming to build a keystone project, providing customised solutions for a real client. Throughout the project, you’ll need to engage with your team to analyse, design, build, test and manage a small-to-medium-sized software information system.

Students will learn to:

  • Develop apps from conception to Android store
  • Integrate other stakeholders into projects
  • Pitch for funding
  • Develop with Java, Eclipse, Trello, Git and more
  • Connect and network with industry identities
  • Adhere to copyright regulations and NDA’s
